Testing
HIV testing is free, confidential and takes about 20 minutes. Testing is also offered for syphilis and other sexually transmitted infections, and is part of routine antenatal care.
Treatment and prevention
People on effective HIV treatment live long, healthy lives and cannot pass the virus on. Treatment is provided free through the Ministry.
- Condoms are available free at public clinics
- PrEP is available for people at higher risk
- Treatment during pregnancy prevents transmission to the baby
