The National Health Insurance scheme has extended coverage to additional communities in Stann Creek and Toledo, with newly contracted primary care providers beginning to accept enrolments.
NHI covers a defined package of primary care at no cost at the point of service, including consultations, essential medicines, basic laboratory tests and chronic disease management.
Residents in the newly covered areas can enrol at any participating provider. Bring identification for each household member.
