Vector control teams are visiting communities in all six districts as part of the annual dengue prevention campaign.
Households are asked to empty and scrub water containers weekly, cover stored water, clear gutters and remove tyres and containers that hold rainwater. The mosquito that spreads dengue breeds in clean, still water close to homes.
Residents are asked to allow inspectors access to yards and water storage. Inspection is free and no household is charged for treatment of breeding sites.
